My question was not "why do you want the source?" It was "why do you want a SRPM?" As it happens, he wanted to look at building a newer gcc. I don't think a SRPM will be terribly useful then, since newer sources certainly aren't going to be available in SRPM format, nor will the SRPM give much insight into the steps needed to build a new gcc (which may involve building a new cctools or whatever, if I'm not mistaken). -- Finlay
