Line of inquiry: Does Darwin support softwareupdate? No -> Is the
only option to re-build packages? Yes -> Can I "make buildworld" to
rebuild all at once? No, but Darwinbuild may do it at some point. ->
Why use the infrastructure it has in place to do so? Unanswered.
Point being, the wheel is being reinvented. I mean to accomplish
features that are taken for granted on related systems such as
FreeBSD. I mean to accomplish using Darwin outside of its indentured
role in Mac OS X and the ability to update it without a complete
re-installation is appreciated in such situations.

Let me rephrase it all as a very simple question: how does one update
a Darwin system?

Peace,

Michael.
