While I initially only had the OpenDarwin distribution CD in mind, this  
is very interesting reading, thanks.

To cite my favourite:

Hmmm. Why do they care that much about those 160 time-stamped files?  
Patching all of them would be a 20 bytes * 2 versions * 160 files = 6.5  
kB patch, ideally.
