For slower speed Dial In ISP connections - which is the better Fink or CVS aka. DarwinPorts ?

Hi,
   We'll have to stop meeting this way, Ok,,, we are cursed with a very slow 56K DialIn ISP Connection with NO chance of anything faster for many years to come. What have been the general opinion as to the best way to pull down new updates and ports with a slow connection..... Fink or DarwinPorts.

Next question is do both of these repositorys and their favoured forms of transport aka CVS have pause and resume ?
Like your favourite download manager for instance.

next question are there any groups releasing everything as a compulation on a set of CDROMS / DVD then up dates each month on cdrom / dvd media ?
