Your best bet is ncutil, but that hasn't been updated for Tiger last I
heard. Nor is there any friendly ppp interface, apart from perhaps
some sample code from DTS. If you want to set this up, you will
probably have to have access to a Mac and also write some code of your
own.

You should be able to use whatever browser you like - links, lynx,
etc. Or if you install XFree86 or Xorg you should even be able to use
FireFox or something. Depending on your ability to compile it, of
course.

Darwin is not really suitable as an end-user OS.

If you're out of your depth (just out of interest, why do you
constantly refer to yourself as "we"?), then perhaps you're outside
the target audience for Darwin. It's a very narrow target audience,
yes.

DarwinPorts' and Fink's installation processes don't use the GUI at
all (unless you use some convenient install package, that is).

If this is your first experience of a command-line interface, Darwin
is probably not the best solution. You should probably try something
like Linux or FreeBSD, which generally have much larger user
communities, are much more mature, better documented etc.
