ituner now sells P4/Celeron cards in mini-itx form factor for $185...
the real problem people are having with those machines is noise.  i'll
happily sacrifice a few megahertz for a really quiet machine that
doesn't make the room feel like a tropical rainforest (heat).

especially with Plan 9, where i can get all the computing power i want
by cpu-ing somewhere else :)

then again running slower hardware isn't a terrible performance hit.
even my slow vmware session at home rarely feels sluggish with plan9
-- it's neat how it feels about as smooth at 500mhz as it does at 3ghz
(i know you know this, i just like saying it ;)
