Re: SCSI on a blade 100 W/IDE

Both the disks & tapes commands are depreciated as of at least Solaris 
8/2.8, and both have been replaced by the devfsadm command.

Please see the output from the sole Solaris 8 system I am still 
maintaining at the bottom.

You did make a good point concerning device discovery and/or a 
reconfigure reboot.

NAME
      disks - creates /dev entries for hard disks attached to  the
      system

SYNOPSIS
      /usr/sbin/disks [ -C ]  [ -r rootdir ]

DESCRIPTION
      devfsadm(1M) is now the preferred command for /dev and /dev-
      ices and should be used instead of disks.
