For some time I've heard tell this this is supported in the community
supported versions:

although I've not installed any of the OpenSolaris distributions myself.

The first one. With Sol9, Sun changed the name of SDS (nee ODS) to Sun
Volume Manager (SVM). Not to be confused, of course, with Sun Enterprise
Volume Manager (SEVM), which was VxVM rebadged by Sun.

Sadly, their naming scheme suggests that Disk Suite (err, "SVM") is not
enterprise-ready, so we probably shouldn't be using it anyway. ;-)
