Hi all, Short intro: I have experience with Linux/Windows system administration and some rather short exposure to Solaris. Lately I've become interested in practising with Solaris/Sparc on my home network and that's how I ended up on this list :) Question: Is it possible to update Solaris 9 from core installation to full without changing disk layout? It looks like in my case only the core installation of Solaris 9 (9/05) for Sparc properly creates the boot record, all other types of installation do not boot up. So I'm thinking of installing core system and then updating it to full installation. But when I try to do that by booting from CD after core installation, the installation process seems to create new boot record causing the boot process to fail after reboot. You can read much more detailed explanation of the issue in this forum thread: http://tinyurl.com/6l6v8e Regards, Aman
