I really love this bit, Over here, the BBC (Breakfast TV) keeps
putting out that you can save the world from Global Warming by
disconnecting you mobile phone charger when it is not in use.
Another revelation is that a TV uses 90% of the "on power" when in
standby mode.

I really don't know where the BBC's editorial staff get these
ideas from, they certainly don't check them with the techies. My
Samsung LCD TV uses ~75W when on, <1W in standby.
