Good point, I forgot the connector.  Both the CRT and the LCD are VGA with standard 15 pin connectors D-shells.  I'm using a 13W3 to D-15 adapter that I randomly found laying on a shelf.  No idea where it came from and has no 
markings on it.

The CRT displays the video from the two machines just fine with that adapter.  The LCD complains that there is no video (not out of range, just no video).  Do you know of a way to change the refresh rate on boot up?  I tried what I thought was the way from the OpenBoot prompt (the resolution settings) but that didn't seem to work.
