Atleast my free sunsolve account does not have the rights to download the recommended patch clusters for Solaris 10. I can download all security and most recommended patches induvidually. And like everyone is telling you, the easiest way to do that is with pca. This command downloads and installs all missing security patches: # pca -i missings The 10_Recommended.zip file is about one gigabyte nowadays, and it doesn't make sense to download it over and over again when all you need is the new patches since last time you applied them. However, if your patch schedule is once every second year that won't be much of a problem ;-) If you insist on doing it the way you're used to you can get hold of the *_Recommended.zip files through other sources, try googling their file names. Not sure it's legal to download them from other sites, though. Still, for a production system I'd prefer to get my patches directly from Sun. For the next version of Solaris you'll have to relearn how to apply security updates anyway, because AFAIK there will not be a 11_Recommended.zip file.
