I am running Solaris 9 on my Sunfire V100 which is my web and mail server. I would say it has been running a really looong time, thanks in part to the APC UPS. While we are on the subject of UPS's, is there any open source software to nicely shutdown the server when the battery gets low when the power is out? I had software from APC that ran under Solaris 2.6 (when it was connected to my SS20) but it does not work under Solaris 9. I have the serial cable I can connect to ttyb. # uptime 11:05am up 790 day(s), 10:44, ...
