I have been lurking on this thread, and it finally got the best of me. I went to sunsolve.sun.com, and logged in, and it was not obvious to me where someone might download Solaris 8 or 9. At $WORK, I have a platinum support contract. I did find: http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/8/ and http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/9/ Do you have a more specific link for Mauricio, should he purchase a support contract? Thanks, Jerry Sandwich Maker wrote: > " From: Andre van Eyssen <[email protected]> > " > " > " No, probably not. > > one could argue that, once having released a certain rev of s9 for > free d/l, they could not later change their minds. > > otoh, the d/l license probably explicitly says 'no sharing'. > > " If you have a current support contract, you can find Solaris 8 and 9 under > " "contract downloads" in SunSolve. > > you need a contract, not just an acct? > > " On Sun, 24 May 2009, kKannemann wrote: > " > " > Would that be legal? > " > > " > Mauricio wrote: > " >> Yesterday I went to download Solaris 9 so I could reinstall it in my > " >> SS20... just to find out the ISOs are not available in the Sun website > " >> anymore.
