I prefer NetBSD as well for my older sun4c/m sparcs.  I also had a sparc LX
which I put in a 68 pin 18 gig drive internally with an adapter.   It was
really  tight and the case is hard to close.  I think I had to remove the
floppy for all the cabling but I could find shorter cables and this would be
a non issue.  I have a sparc tadpole 3gx that I just obtained and will be
putting netbsd on it very shortly.  I used to use netbsd on my old IPX that
I naively got rid of when I obtained my LX.
