Hi, The ALIGNMENT TOOL is just a guide for installation. It is NOT a part of rail. You will need an outer rail (or rack rail) for rack mount. Rack ears are parts of outer rail. You may need to by a complete rail set for your server and it seems be cheaper and safer for your V240. I just bought on ebay a "SUNFIRE SLIDE RAIL ALIGNMENT TOOL X8029A 6302-0100-ZZS", which seems to be some part of the rails that look like an outer rail (item #280641809689). Does anybody know if thats really what it is, or something else? Are there other parts I need too, like rack ears that attach to the outer rail? Thanks.
