Or NOT!  Top posting is the most efficient use of time; it has nothing to do with being lazy.  Before you start calling people lazy and offensive, maybe you should consider whether you are being anal and offensive yourself.  The top/bottom posting debate has gone on for decades, and we're certainly not going to agree, so I'll drop it.  I wouldn't even have mentioned it except that you cited an ancient, irrelevant publication to attempt some sort of enforcement of this silliness in your "realm".  Get a life.

Yes, this sounds offending, but it isn't meant that way. You are in the realm of the UNIX culture, where top posting is a faux pas. I just wane help you to avoid this mistake, as it may offend other people. It is just a matter of politeness to adapt to the culture you are interacting with.
