Hi All,



I used VNC in the past and it worked but the Netbackup GUI was to slow.
Now I am using a VPN connection and a 3G modem with a speed of 7.2 mb/s
from home/remotely to my Solaris boxes at work.



I am using a laptop with a 64 bit Windows 7 platform. I configure
Xmanager 4 (right click on top bar,tools,xstart) with the IP address of
the Solaris 9/10 host that you connect to and choose ssh. In the command
box I type /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/jnbSA & and then I click run. That's
it!



It is slow during the day but you can monitor the activity and it's
better at night. Just close all unnecessary windows, even the gray
Xmanager window to see the Netbackup login window.
