All, I have a Sun Blade 2500 that we use for an older project but it is
running Solaris 10. We recently acquired some Compaq scsi disk drives that we
use as clone disk drives for backups. When booted off of the Compaq drives
they will "timeout" after some time (within and hour) and will drop back into
an unusable single user mode where the system will eventually reboot.

When I move the mouse/keyboard I will get a warning:

WARNING: Device /pci@1d,700000/scsi@4/..... failed to power up.

We have checked the power management configuration file (/etc/power.conf) and
changed the autopm line to disabled.

I'm guessing the compaq drives go into a standby mode and are unable to
recover.

Any ideas?
