I'm sending this notice to several Yahoo horticultural groups, so some users may see it more than once. Sooner or later, most internet and Yahoo users are faced with the wrapped URL problem. This occurs when extra long URLS from mapping sites, Yahoo picture galleries and other web pages which rely on databases are pasted into messages. Typically, the long URL is wrapped and otherwise mangled by Yahoo and email software, causing headaches for many unsuspecting users who wish to follow the links. I recently discovered a great site which solves this problem neatly. http://tinyurl.com You simply paste in your long URL, and TinyURL creates a small link to it. Very handy! It turned this: http://MapsOnUs.switchboard.com/bin/maps-maponly/usr=~3cefc876.7917f.6c51.8/c=10/refsrc=SB.newsb/formName=setclickpost into this: http://tinyurl.com/7n1 A good site to bookmark, they also provide HTML code for a form which you can incorporate into your own HTML pages.
