Whooo-hoo! John. Looks like it will be a nice big flower spike when it matures. I don't see how dividing any plant would encourage flowering. It takes energy for a plant to flower and, if anything, dividing a plant would seem to rob it of energy. I would think that once a plant starts to put energy into a flower stalk that nothing short of mutilation would keep it from its appointed task. ----- Original Message -----From: e-mail newearth [email protected] [Sansevierias] <[email protected]>To: cacti_and_succulents <[email protected]>, sansevierias <[email protected]>Sent: Thu, 29 May 2014 12:14:06 -0000 (UTC)Subject: [Sansevierias] Sansevieria subspicata Sansevieria subspicata showing the start of flowering. First time I have flowered it. Last year I split a large plant up maybe this had something to do with it. -- See my photo Albums/sets here. "No One Lives Forever But We All Shine On" Cheers John
