It has worked with counties for me in the past. I had a large
O. Phaeacantha for years and decided to back it back as you took your life
in your hands just trying to get in. The tortoise got fat that year. I put
five single pads on POTS and left them to root. I got seven flowers off
three of the pads. I never flowered that Pontiac before or after that. An
explanation is survival, the plant thinks it is dying so as a last resort
puts all it energies into reproduction...
