Re: MasterCard chief promotes transit

That card that MasterCard is promoting is similar in concept to the Tokyo-area Suica card, a reloadable debit card that can be used not only to pay fares on almost all the public transit (buses, trains, subways) in the Tokyo-Yokohama area (and lately, in a few more metropolitan areas as well) but also to buy things, especially at vending stands and certain shops within station shopping arcades.
