I have been trying for weeks to figure out how in the heck a person
can go carfree in the countryside, assuming they work in the city. Is
it really that big of a deal anyways, given that most people live in
the city? Given the prices of gasoline and the possibility of farmers
distilling their own biodiesel from bacon grease or whatever and then
trading/bartering, I would like to find an easier way for those who
are stuck working in the city but can't afford the higher prices of
city housing.

Any help would be appreciated. It's been a huge mental block for me.

Thanks,

zach
