Hi all, I'm currently doing research for the centrefold page of the upcoming issue of Carbusters magazine. I wish to write summaries of the hazardous metals and chemicals contained in various car parts(interior plastics, tires, batteries, etc) or the dangers in their disposal/incineration, summing up the environmental evils of cars before or after the emissions of petrol are factored. But as much of this is tightly withheld industry information I'm having difficulties digging up the facts and figures I was hoping for. I would really appreciate any links to reports, studies or websites that some of you might know of that could help me out. Cheers, Chris Coleman -- "Oil is a remarkable substance. One gallon of oil contains the equivalent of about 98 tonnes of the original algal matter, distilled over 90 to 150 million years, and which had itself collected enormous amounts of solar energy on the waves of the prehistoric ocean." - Rob Hopkins, Transition Towns founder --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World Carfree Network" group.
