TCC News: York, United Kingdom to host Towards Carfree Cities IX in June 2010

Dear members and friends of World Carfree Network,

The Steering Committee of the World Carfree Network has decided that Towards
Carfree Cities IX will take place in York, United Kingdom, June 21-24, 2010.
Congratulations to Carfree UK, the host organization!

Additionally, we thank warmly Étienne von Bertrab/Ciudad para Todos
from Guadalajara
and Agustín Villegas/Bicitropicos from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, for their
proficient proposals. We sincerely encourage you to resubmit your proposals
for the anniversary year of 2011!

The TCC web section at http://www.worldcarfree.net/conference/ will be
updated shortly with the relevant information from York. In addition to the
web site, the York organizers will keep you informed about the development
of the conference via this listserve. In the mean time you can contact the
host organization and the Conference Coordinator Randall Ghent at

We look forward to starting the discussions regarding the conference
programme in a couple of weeks time and encourage you all to take part in
the development of yet another successful TCC conference!
