Looking closer to the polls data

http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x1302.xml?ReleaseID=1355

it appears that the Manhattan voters are the one that mostly
appreciated the Broadway pedestrian malls and think that more should
be implemented in their neighbourhood (see responses to questiones
38-39-40-42).

So, dislike what the above press release wording let you think
(""Times Square with lawn chairs instead of cars is a nice idea, most
New Yorkers say, but NIMBY," said Maurice Carroll, director of the
Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.") there is clearly only a
NIMBY effect on voters not living in vicinity of pedestrian malls,
i.e. with no direct knowledge and understanding of the real positive
effects on the neighbourhoods.

Unfortunately there are no Trend data, which would have shown this
better, as you could verify shift in the Manhattan voters perception.

PS: it is a pity that in question 31 there is not the bicycle option!?!
