Dear carfree friends,

The online registration is now
open<http://www.worldcarfree.net/gcb/registration.php>along with an
online payment possibility<https://store.kagi.com/cgi-bin/store.cgi?storeID=8WP&&>
.

All carfree advocates are warmly welcomed to take part in the 3E
Seminar<http://www.worldcarfree.net/gcb/>.
However due to the Funder’s preference, priority will be given to
participants from the CEE region and to existing World Carfree Network (WCN)
members. (Additionally, we have a fund for partial travel reimbursements for
seminar participants from certain countries.) Early birds will have better
chances in getting their costs covered ;)

Best regs from Praha,
Tanja

<goog_1255004619094>*World Carfree Network Europe is happy to invite you to
a Grassroots Capacity Building Seminar in Prague, November 4–6,
2009<http://www.worldcarfree.net/gcb/>.
*

*3E by WCNE* <http://www.worldcarfree.net/gcb/> is a capacity building
seminar for European NGO's to equip, encourage and empower citizens to take
a more active role in both their local and global communities. This 3-day
seminar consisting of capacity building, workshops, presentations and
facilitated discussions takes place in Prague, Czech Republic in November 4.
– 6. followed by the Network’s the *Annual General Meeting (AGM)
2009*<http://www.worldcarfree.net/gcb/agm.php>and network development
on November 7. – 8.

The aim of the seminar is to promote grassroots groups’ active involvement
in public discussions and local decision-making; to facilitate information
exchange between NGO leaders; to increase the skills of the people involved
in NGOs; and to foster intercultural cooperation in Europe and in CEE region
in particular.
Our seminar brings together NGO actives and activist around Europe to study
and develop strategies for strengthening grassroots operations and fostering
cooperation across cultural boundaries with the aims of equipping,
encouraging and empowering them to promote public participation and active
citizenship.

The recently celebrated *World Carfree Day* – as an annual showcase for just
how our cities look, feel and sound like without cars – promotes urban
environments inclusive towards all people and gives a voice to the people
themselves in designing the environment they want to live in. Our seminar
echoes that:

We want to equip and encourage grassroots groups to empower participation
and active citizenship in adapting the urban environments to promote
ecological, economical and social sustainability using carfree actions and
events as our frame and inspiration.

During the seminar we will create a platform for exchanging ideas,
experiences and skills for promoting urban environments through the World
Carfree Day’s specimen while highlighting the need for urban development to
reduce social exclusion and empowering people of all social and cultural
groups to get actively involved in the public discussions, activities and
decision-making in regard to urban planning and mobility.

That said, Welcome to 3E – to get EQUIPPED and ENCOURAGED to
EMPOWER!<http://www.worldcarfree.net/gcb/>
