Dear carfree crusaders,

As you may have heard already - at the conference or in Etienne's recent e-mail
- the Towards Carfree Cities conference series will be coming to Guadalajara,
Mexico from 20-23 June 2011. Congratulations to the Ciudad para Todos hosting
team of Étienne, Jesús and Felipe!

Full conference web pages will be coming soon, but in the meantime you can visit
the conference blog site at http://www.haciaguadalajara2011.org/.

TCC IX - York

Thanks to everyone who came to the conference - I hope you are all feeling more
informed and inspired as a result! We'll be sending out a participants list
shortly, with presentations and session summaries/evaluations going up on the
website as soon as time allows (be patient, we're all volunteers on the York
team!).

WCN update

WCN will be in touch with you in the near future about the future of the Prague
office and changes to the ways in which projects will be coordinated. Full 2010
AGM meeting minutes will be posted in the wiki area as normal, accessible to all
current Individual Members and Member Organisations. Further discussions on this
subject will take place on the wcn-intern list:
http://groups.google.com/group/wcn-intern. If auto-subscribing doesn't work,
please contact Markus Heller ([email protected]) with a short note
explaining your interest.

Finally, just a reminder that this list is for the discussion of current and
future projects and actions, calls for assistance and time-sensitive
announcements likely to be of interest to subscribers. General discussion and
cross-posting is not permitted - this way we keep traffic levels down and avoid
e-mail overload. Messages breaking these rules will not be posted to the group.
Thanks for your cooperation!

Announcement

On Sunday 18 July, a 60 km section of the A40 Autobahn in the Ruhr area of
Germany will be closed to motorised traffic! One side will host a series of
cultural attractions - including the world's longest dinner table - and the
other will serve as a promenade for walkers, cyclists, roller-bladers...

Regards from a very hot and sticky Rhein Valley,

Simon.
