Redesign competition for WCN monthly newsletter!

Hello all!

As announced in the February bulletin, there is the chance for graphic
artists and tech-savvy people to give a try and redesign the look for the World
Carfree Monthly Newsletter <http://www.worldcarfree.net/bulletin>. A few
people responded to this call, but we thought we could get more attention if
we put our efforts out for all to see on this list.

Even though we can hopefully use contributions from several graphic
designers in future WCN work, for the moment we have narrowed it down to the
redesign of the monthly bulletin. When we have prepared samples, by the end
of this month, the readers of our March newsletter can vote on which style
they prefer.

*Description:* Re-designing the WCN monthly bulletin. We're interested in a
contemporary, readable and attractive design which does not necessarily
reflect the visual language of the current
webpage<http://www.worldcarfree.net/>.
Our news bulletin is translated into many languages, therefore the design
needs to be flexible and can be applied each month in different languages.

*Deadline:* by 28th February 2011

*Technical Requirements:* As the newsletter format is sent by email, please
test your design format with a few different email systems to make sure it
works properly across platforms. The empty format should be easy to use -
the newsletter editors will need to fill in text into the different sections
freely. If your format requires a particular software that is freely
available and easy to use, this can also be considered.
