    I`m looking to read some newsgroups which deals with the Genoa disaster.
I am reliving some of the old passions experienced in the 70s/80s over the
unacceptable state of the world in which we live. I`m older and less
passionate now about the likelihood of change, short of a huge catastrophe
of some sort, there is little hope of real change IMHO.

Marketing rules now, its a case of media sorts pressing the right
advertising buttons. Even the Pope tried it with a CD of Gregorian chant. In
the 60s people were really optimistic about a new beginning, instead we got
a slightly altered version of the same old thing. Personally I believe that
ultimately we are controlled and motivated by instinct, survival instinct in
particular. Richard Dawkins called it the three F`s, feeding ,fighting and
fu$#%^...........or as someone else put it food, fun and fashion.:-).

I used work for the beast once, but that seems like a previous life now. It
was a nice dream while it lasted but now its back to the world. I felt real
anger at the weekend when I saw the police.........I was as angry at their
stupidity as at their brutality. Any fool, even Bush knows that such
situations need to be skilfully managed rather than brutally pruned. Pruning
is essential for renewed growth. At least that's what we were continuously
told in the corporate world. Maybe that's what Bush an the boys want.

I am particularly interested in the AIDS disaster,.........recently we were
entreated to a documentary about the hopeless situation which it is. I read
the Field , all 600 pages and am convinced its an iatrogenic disease. One
billion dollars to fight AIDS is a sick joke. On second thoughts fighting
AIDS is a joke with current technology and science. Multiple resistance has
already emerged for triple therapy. Its unstoppable and the only reality is
that it will reach its own natural equilibrium level. Only then is it likely
to mutate towards the benign side of the spectrum. One billion dollars being
sent around the block and back into the accounts of the drugs business is a
sick joke also.

Does anyone know any good news groups where antiglobalisation  people
debate.:?
