I'm very skeptical of this, actually. It seems more likely, if
*anyone* really believes and is motivated by this, that it's a
rank-and-file thing, not what is going on in bin Laden's head. And
that's what counts.

Lots of people believe that and aren't motivated to commit acts of
terrorism, of course.
