Recall referenda will be held against nine ... all from the opposition. Rodriguez also presented a preliminary report of last weekend=E2=80= =99s signature repairs for the Presidential recall referendum process ... even though a certain percentage of signature lists remain to be evaluated, there are already 15,000 more signatures than required to convene a recall referendum against President Hugo Chavez Frias. *=09Rodriguez indicates that =E2=80=9Cwe=E2=80=99ve done hard work, b= ut we are profoundly satisfied with the job done, and we=E2=80=99re ready to co= ntinue the next stages of the referenda.=E2=80=9D With respect to the repairs process for the recall referendum against the President of the Republic, Rodriguez indicates that the transcription and tallying process =E2=80=9Cis going quickly. 40% of = the lists have been transcribed, and 35% have been certified. There have been v= ery few errors in the lists examined so far.=E2=80=9D Rodriguez says that in last weekend=E2=80=99s repairs process, 614,96= 8 signatures were included, but 74,112 were excluded. As a net result, with 2,436,083 signatures required, and 2,451,821 already obtained .= .. i.e. 15,738 more than the required number to convene the referendum. =09 =E2=80=9CThis expresses a clear tendency with respect to the possibility of convening a referendum against the mandate of the President of the Republic.=E2=80=9D Rodriguez indicates that the preliminary results were obtained via computerized transmission of data from each one of the repairs center= s highlighted by the National Elections Board (JNE). On May 28, the first day of repairs, 84.74% of the computers transmit= ted information to the CNE ... a number that grew to 86.16% the second da= y, and fell to 64.53% the third day, due to problems in deciphering the information. =E2=80=9CBy the third day, we compared the data obtained with the res= ults of our tallying process and determined that the results of the computerized transmissions were very close to the true results, with a very low margin of error.=E2=80=9D The CNE authorized participants in the recall referendum process to provide their own figures from this moment on ... =E2=80=9Chowever, t= he CNE has the final word!=E2=80=9D National Assembly (AN) deputy Rodriguez says= that 100% of the signature repair lists have been examined for referenda agains= t deputies and presented a report on each one of them: =09* Nelson Ventura: 746 signatures included in the repairs, and 23 excluded. Final result: 9,976 signatures were required, 11,356 signatures obtained.
