Here is my analysis of yesterday afternoon’s debacle at the Democratic National Convention, where the party leadership decided to violate their own rules by pushing through an amendment against the will of the majority of delegates and in direct opposition to longstanding U.S. policy which unilaterally declares—prior to final status negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians themselves—that Jerusalem "is and will remain the capital of Israel" and will remain “undivided.”
