The bi-partisan War Party in Congressappears to want nothing less than a fu=
ll scale materialization of the endlesswars characterizing Orwell=E2=80=99s=
gloomy predictions.And nothing that Barack Obama promises, oneway or the o=
ther, can be taken as Holy Writ.
With little faith, if any, in the =E2=80=9Cpowerstructures=E2=80=9D of the =
=E2=80=9Cdeveloped nations,=E2=80=9D I find myself increasinglyisolationist=
.Humanitarian aid maybe =E2=80=93maybe =E2=80=93 under certain circumstance=
s.Military involvement, no.I seethe ISIS situation and its kin as essential=
ly regional in basic origin and amatter for regional solution.
I think it=E2=80=99s clear that the Americanpeople, and most likely other p=
eoples, are sick of war.Perhaps as the motivational role of coveted Oilbeco=
mes more and more generally obvious, this madness will significantlyrecede.=
But, to effect that, effectivegrassroots organization and mobilization are =
sorely needed.
Perhaps the second Blood Moon of 2014is an omen.
