A few comments:
Our mainline media insists onreferring to Cuba as a =E2=80=9CCommunist=E2=
=80=9D country or Communist island or Communistisland nation.The term Commu=
nist doesn=E2=80=99tfrighten me but it=E2=80=99s becoming difficult to tell=
what some of these ideologicaltags mean anymore.
I=E2=80=99ve consistently, over the decades,indicated that I =E2=80=93 and =
certainly a vast number of others =E2=80=93 see the good CubanRevolution as=
thoroughly home grown and, like contemporary Venezuela and someother setti=
ngs, much in the positive traditions of Latin American social revolutionary=
and substantive social reform movements =E2=80=93 exemplified by the people=
=E2=80=99s greatMexican Revolution of the first part of the 20th century.
The =E2=80=9Clast revolutionary President ofMexico=E2=80=9D was Lazaro Card=
enas (L=C3=A1zaro C=C3=A1rdenas del R=C3=ADo) who served from1934 to 1940.I=
t was under his guidancethat a number of developing dimensions, characteriz=
ing the long revolutionaryepoch, came to tangible fruition.(Someothers alre=
ady had, long before.) His administration is worth a good look.
Google has a number of things on Cardenas and, in thiscase, Wikipedia is go=

Taking this tradition, and couplingit with more than a half century of unre=
mitting hostility from the UnitedStates, I think the Cuban Revolution has d=
one very well.

spermitted Trotsky to remain in Mexico and also, somewhere along the way, r=
eceived the unsolicited Stalin Peace Prize.But Cardenas was always a homegr=
own Mexicanrevolutionary man.)
One of these days, Mexico could haveanother very significant democratic soc=
ial revolutionary movement.But, if so, I suspect it will be lessdramatic an=
d much less prolonged than its 20th century predecessor.
On another topic, the Air Force hasjust released into the Net what it says =
are all of its UFO files.For anyone who believes that All have beenfreed by=
the Feds, well, I have a diamond mine in my back yard right here that=E2=
=80=99sfor sale at a bargain price.The Federalgovernment is vast and has mo=
re nooks and crannies than the CatholicChurch.A fair amount of evidence exi=
ststhat points to several Federal compartments holding much UFO data as wel=
l asconsiderable evidence of friendly, but understandably cautious, ET visi=
tation =E2=80=93all of which may well fall under the general status of some=
thing like =E2=80=9Cabovetop secret.=E2=80=9D
A reasonable question that oftenarises is, do the Feds (or any earthly gove=
rnment) have very special data onall of this =E2=80=93 or simply more of wh=
at many informed humans already know.I hold the latter view.
