Yes, by all means, let's pile on the DSA hate using any excuse, because if a mass socialist movement of millions of voters, dozens and perhaps sooner than we would have imagined hundreds of elected officials at all levels, and hundreds of thousands of members were to happen, it would harder for many of us who spent decades in small tight knit Marxist groups having little impact on American society to justify our life choices. Legitimate criticism of DSA policies, or statements, especially if made by someone who has first joined and is active in it, are needed, but finding any excuse to attack what is in fact a miracle, that before dying of old age (I'm 66 with diabetes and an incurable rare blood auto immune disease) we have gotten to see a mass movement with youth, energy momentum, self-confidence make socialism a household word in US politics. Social Democratic? Limited? In need of experience? Sure. But I am a dialectician, things are working themselves out, everyone can contribute something here, and what this movie now is not what it will be in 5 years or ten.
