Re: Is DSA preparing to be the Green Party of 2028?

thanks to Charles for that job posting. I am reminded of a conversation I
often had when I was in the carpenters union. Some members would urge me to
take a job as an appointed official - an "organizer" or a business agent.
I'd always answer them like this: "When you go to look for work, it's
understood from the start that you are going to build this wall like this
in this place how the foreman tells you. You are not going to tell him 'no,
I think I'll build that wall over there.' It's the same when you go to work
for the union leaders. You are going to carry out the policies that they
set in the way in which they want." Everybody understood that.

In reply to Steven Colatrella: He can complain about "piling on" against
DSA all he likes. I'm just telling people my own experience, what I see and
hear on the rare occasion that I go to meetings. I joined DSA in 2016
because I figured a lot of young Berniecrats would join. I was right about
that, but at that time my joining scandalized many on the left around here
who knew me. Most of them later joined themselves and then capitulated to
the failed politics of DSA. Steven or anybody else can like what I wrote or
not, but 90% of what I'm doing is simply reporting on what actually
happened. I guess sometimes as they say "the truth hurts".
