US-bound Emirates’ flight from Dubai contained “suspicious” parcels from Yemen.
Fighter jets were scrambled on Friday to accompany an Emirates plane into New
York’s JFK airport after a security alert, US media reported.
Emirati authorities, however, said flight 201 carried no ’suspicious’ cargo
from Yemen as claimed by US-Canadian military agency NORAD.
UAE officials rejected the claim and said the plane was not a source of threat.

veto it immediately.

Turkish document defines Israel as 'central threat'

The Turkish National Security Council approved a few days ago significant
changes in a document which contains threats against Turkey claiming that
Israel is now a major threat to the country, Turkish media reported Saturday.
This is the first time that Turkey has defined Israel's actions in the Middle
East as a threat towards it.
The document also stated that Israel's actions may cause countries in the region
to begin an "arms race."

After the Israeli military's deadly actions against Turkish nationals on the
aid ship the Mavi Marmara, and the absolute absence of any Israeli apology for
the assassination of these aid workers, what sane person can blame the Turkish
government for coming to this conclusion?

'Netanyahu offers PA state within temporary borders'

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is making efforts to convince the Obama
administration to accept a plan by which a Palestinian state would be
established within temporary borders for a period of ten years, leaving
difficult issues such as refugees and Jerusalem to be decided in future
negotiations, London-based Arabic language daily Al-Hayat reported on Saturday.
According to Palestinian sources quoted by Al-Hayat, the temporary borders of
the Palestinian State would coincide with the current security fence.
Under the proposed plan Israel would be allowed to maintain control over the
Palestinian state's eastern border, on the western border with Israel, on
Jerusalem and on water sources.
Webmaster's Commentary:
This is an absolute "non-starter" for the Palestinians, and Netanyahu knows it.
What Israel is absolutely unwilling to do is declare its own borders, so any
land the Palestinian state might be granted would be only "temporary" for the
10 years of such an agreement.
This is sheer and utter nonsense.

More Requests to Release Jonathan Pollard

op-ed in a prominent U.S.newspaper as a follow-up on his letter to President
Obama asking that Jonathan Pollard be released.
Efforts to have Pollard released as he nears the end of his 25th year in prison
are gaining steam in the United States and Israel. They have been heightened by
at least three recent developments: the letter from Korb, a statement by
Pollard's high-level boss at the time of his arrest, Rafi Eitan, that the
U.S.agreed to jail him only for ten years; and a plea from Prime Minister
Binyamin Netanyahu’s brother-in-law to take the case directly to Obama.

Memo to any highly placed current or former members of the US and/or Israeli
governments: Pollard was a traitor to his country, and created a world of hurt
for American assets.
The Israeli government should be damned grateful that he was not executed for
his treason, and leave it at that.
Any members of Congress who feel that they must push this issue are very
clearly demonstrating that they care infinitely more about accomplishing
certain geopolitical outcomes for a foreign government (that of Israel) than
they are of taking care of the legitimate needs and concerns of the American

trillion by my calculation. Can you guess how many indictments there have

achieved.

Al-Qaeda had links to the packages that were sent.

What Are They Hiding? Obama Administration Defending Black Site Prison at Bagram

The lingering question is: Why does the US government so adamantly want to hide
information about where captives were first taken into military custody, their
citizenship, the length of their captivity, and the circumstances under which
they were captured?
Making matters worse is a string of continuing reports from people released
from Bagram, including some which are very recent, that it is a site where
torture is routinely applied to prisoners.
When the ugly sadistic goings on at Abu Ghraib were exposed, it caused massive
damage to the US, and, according to government statements at the time, ended up
helping recruit more future terrorists. It seems the Obama administration is
heading down the same road now at Bagram, with the blessing of a Judge Jones.

There is something terrifyingly sick about the US institutionalization of
torture, during the last two administrations.
This country's government has fallen down a very slippery slope here, and
unless, and until there are prosecutions here in the US of the people who
signed off on the use of torture, the very fabric of our moral identity as a
people will have been destroyed forever.
Unfortunately, the odds of this happening right now are zero to none, because
of the terrible complicity of so many people in the letting loose so much evil
these wars represent, primarily for a potential financial gain.
My Dad was a US World War II Veteran, and enlisted, disabled (with a bum elbow
from an horrendous auto accident,) because he believed he was absolutely on the
right side of history, and was willing to do anything moral to support this
cause.
Were he alive today, he would have been repulsed and furious to learn that the
country he loved so dearly had institutionalized torture.

Pentagon Forges NATO Proxy Armies In Eastern Europe

On October 27 the U.S. 86th Airlift Wing and 435th Air Ground Operations Wing
completed two weeks of joint exercises in Bulgaria in the context of Thracian
Fall 2010, during which American personnel "were able to train and lead more
than 1,000 Bulgarian paratroopers to successful landings from U. S. Air Force
in Europe's newest tactical aircraft."
As to the purpose of such exercises, an American officer present for them said,
"We are hoping by them [Bulgarians] being able to observe how we conduct our
operations they will use this to enhance their own ability, from paratrooper
operations to flying and one day be able to conduct exercises and even assist
in future conflicts." [9]
Webmaster's Commentary:
This may well be the way the Pentagon sees as a viable method for conducting
various proxy wars while not raising the size of the US military through a
compulsory draft.
Russian leadership has every reason to be nervous about the US doing these joint
exercises in Eastern Europe.

Iran have come and gone several times over the past few weeks, the European
Union took the unique step today of confirming that Iran’s acceptance this time
actually counts.
But where the talks will go, if anywhere, remains to be seen. The Obama

year’s third party enrichment deal, but will offer Iran even worse terms than
the last time.
Which is particularly problematic because the last third party enrichment deal

the US.

Halliburton Co. acknowledged that it skipped a critical test on the final
formulation of cement used to seal BP's oil well before it blew out
catastrophically in the Gulf of Mexico.
The company, which was BP's cementing contractor, came under increased scrutiny
when investigators from the president's oil spill commission revealed Thursday
that tests performed by the company before the deadly blowout showed the cement
to be unstable.
Halliburton in a statement issued late Thursday night said it did not conduct a
stability test on the final mix of cement after a last-minute change by BP
added more of a certain ingredient. Earlier statements by the company had said
tests showed the cement to be stable.
The cement mix's failure to prevent oil and gas from entering the well has been
identified by BP and others as one of the causes of the accident, the largest
offshore oil spill in U.S. history.
BP and Halliburton decided to use a foam slurry created by injecting nitrogen
into cement to secure the bottom of the well, a decision outside experts have
criticized.

What the outrageous institutionalization of torture by the US against so-called
"unprotected enemy belligerents" means is that, in the not too distant future,
any American citizen could be singled out for such treatment for daring to have
a reasoned, logical disagreement with the policies of this country.
In light of this pending dark reality, we are in absolutely grave danger of
becoming the Gulag States of America.

law-enforcement source said; someone shipped it from Sana, Yemen to Chicago,
Illinois.

Tel Aviv to begin building "security barrier" on border with Egypt

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled plans for a security
barrier running along the borders of Egypt and the 1948 occupied Palestinian
territories by the beginning of next month, November.
He stressed emphasized the importance of intensive monitoring to prevent the
"illegal infiltration" across the southern border of the country, which
"constitutes a threat to the Jewish and democratic character of Israel."

This non-story of the plane searches is starting to come into focus. We now
know that the "suspicious" toner cartridge found with white powder and wires
sticking out of it is a hoax, as there was no explosive involved. So how was
this "device" found?
Obviously bomb sniffing dogs would not have indicated a problem, and we know
that the authorities are not in the habit of opening up every single package on
every single UPS cargo flight every single day at every single airport.
So, someone put the British authorities onto this package. It was INTENDED to be
found.
This is just another fake terror/hate crime for Israel to wave around at those
who wonder just why it is that Israel can attack and kill Americans in
international waters with impunity.

language here, but the bank-friendliest explanation for this systemwide
breakdown is that bankers suck at what they do.
But the real explanation is that they knew these loans were bad -- and wrote
them anyway.
Why? Because they intended to make quick and easy money by pumping up housing
values, churning loans to customers who they knew couldn't pay. (The customers
didn't know that, but the banks did.) They thought they could float this crap
game forever, riding an ever-growing bubble and tossing the defaulting
homeowners away when they couldn't pay the nut. But the bubble burst and the
crap game got shut down.

Cargo plane bomb alert: 'ink cartridge bomb' found on plane in London

The device, which it has been claimed was made from a manipulated ink
cartridge, was found aboard a United Parcel Service (UPS) flight at East
Midlands airport, en route from Yemen to Chicago.
It reportedly had wires and white powder attached to it.

Authorities in Britain are now saying that the "device" is non-explosive. Which
means it is a media-diverting hoax intended to wave terrorists at stupid
Americans to keep them from realizing that the mortgage-backed securities fraud
has wrecked this nation far more thoroughly than Osama could ever dream of,
even if he hadn't died in 2001! White powder and wires? That's a stage prop-not
a bomb. If there was no explosive, how was it found or detected? No bomb
sniffing dog would have bothered with it. How did the authorities know to open
up that particular box? Anonymous phone tip?
This is a setup, and a rather obvious one.
