Professor Sabrina Ramet is Professor of Political Science at the Norwegian
University of Science & Technology and Senior Research Associate of the
Centre for the Study of Civil War of the International Peace Research
Institute, Oslo (PRIO).  She is author of eleven academic books and editor
or co-editor of 20 books. Among her many books are *Balkan Babel: The
Disintegration of Yugoslavia from the* *Death of Tito to the War for Kosovo;
**Democratic Transition in Croatia: Value Transformation, Education, &
Media; Gender Politics in the Western Balkans: Women and Society in
Yugoslavia and the Yugoslav Successor States; Rocking the State: Rock Music
and Politics in Eastern Europe and Russia; and The Radical Right in Central
and Eastern Europe* Since 1989. She has published articles in Foreign
Affairs, East European Politics and Societies, Ethnic and Racial Studies,
Orbis, World Politics, and Political Science Quarterly.* *
