Win, just the same ol' road I (and others) ride every day... or maybe just me on some days like we had here this week. It wasn't an alternate route he wanted me to find, but a different mode of transportation than my bicycle. He thought it was too dangerous to be riding a bicycle on a snow packed road. It was mainly hard packed snow, like concrete. I was in the right line riding in the right tire tack, but would switch to the left track in the right lane when it was in better condition, after signaling my intentions. I also had my three bight flashers and helmet light going.  I also bought tires built for riding in these conditions. I've found that when the roads are like this, cars are fewer and slower, and pass further away.
