Sounds very cheap! However at this price point remember the frame is of High Tensile steel as opposed to double-butted chromoly. The weight of 23lb is a bit hefty for a fixie. The big bike companies charge about $600-800. from many folks point of view (including myself) the most rewarding way is to source out a good quality 1975-95 era road bike, strip all the unnecessary hardware and rebuild up with fixie tackle. With this method is possible to get a really premium frame for a nominal cost. The 75-95 vintage were the halcyon years for top quality steel frames. Here's mine which I built up about five years ago. The original version and the present incarnation is shown and described below. The best bicycle deal I've ever made! I love riding it. Sure sounds good. http://www.bigshotbikes.com/index.html Come spring (spring is coming, isn't it?) your pedal stroke will be as smooth as silk. No relation, etc. just passing on a good deal. -- Kelly Iniguez www.slumgullionbicycletours.com _______________________________________________ Touring mailing list [email protected] Browse and search the archives: http://search.bikelist.org Unsubscribe or list settings: http://www.phred.org/mailman/options/touring
