RE: smooth out your pedal stroke

It's the elderly who are more likely to appreciate fixed gear bikes since
they predated free wheels. With regard to your comment re: feet coming off
the pedals you have two choices; either accept the drumming on your calves
or keep your feet on the pedals until your kneecaps explode! Of course you
could always apply the brakes -if you have any. Many of the younger fixed
intelligentsia have none fitted.

If I understand this type of bike correctly, your feet are never able to
just coast. Sooooo if you are going down a hill and you can't keep up with
your speed and you pedals start whacking away at your legs because your feet
have come off the pedals -------. Am I correct in assuming this could
happen?? If so I guess I am just too old to appreciate a bike like this.
