I think Clear runs on the Sprint network. The Clear 3G coverage map looks a lot like Sprint's. 4G coverage is in major cities, not rural/remote areas. Not useful outside North America, it is a CDMA, not GSM device. I just add a 3G data plan to my cell phone when I'm travelling/touring. $15 per month and prorated for the number of days I activate it. The cell phone browser is pretty limited, but good enough for my needs. There is a Palm app to use the phone as a USB modem (without the additional Sprint tethered modem data surcharge). Jon
