Re: cycle-paths, safe or not

Totally agree on that. Our current roads are perfectly suitable for
cycling, and possibly putting paint down in effective ways and
blocking certain parts of the road help that a lot. I've had people
tell me that I shouldn't ride on the road, and that I should take the
trails instead, but unfortunately those are winding bumpy paths that
don't go in my direction, and have several joggers and strollers and
whatnot that mean that cycling there is not safe above 10mph. I don't
want a entirely separate system of trails that function that way.
