My VDO MC 1.0 cyclocomputer has an inclinometer function that works from
measuring distance and altitude. The percent grade function is very
accurate when going down a steep grade. It's more erratic when going up
a steep grade because the elevation changes so slowly.

On my recumbent I wouldn't be able to see the scale of the Sky Mounti
inclinometer because my head isn't straight above the handlebar. The
Sky Mounti is overpriced. The money would be better spent upgrading to
an altimeter cyclocomputer.
