G'Day All
A couple of items that don't seem to have made many 1st Aid kits...
A torch...for checking equal pupil dilation after a good thump to the head.
An eye bath...small light and nothing beats one for washing out bits of
grit etc.
Saline...again washes eyes, cuts & abrasions better than water.
a Mirror....if your touring on your own and do a face plant, at least
you can see how bad it really was...!!

We started out with an "Equip - Pro2" kit then added some stuff of our
own to it
http://www.equip.com.au/Products/Product.aspx?pid=79

We carry it in the top of a trunk bag, and share the one between 2 of us.
Have bought different 1st Aid Kits for our vehicles from the same
company and they have always been good to deal with.

Then again - often when we are touring we will only see a handful of
cars in a day (or less), so perhaps we over cater on the more
urbane routes...but when someone does miss judge a gravel patch on a
loaded touring bike 3 hours from the nearest house and
way beyond mobile range ....it sure is nice to have...!!

Cheers
Rob
