Many people seem to have no remorse as bystanders in a like they deserved it............. It does however seem to me that not controlling your vehical and killing someone is Gross Negligence. The death or course is proof positive that she did not allow a three foot clearance. He lost his drivers license for a limited time, that was about it............................. It sounds like this woman still has a license but is likely more careful. Many auto drivers would fear losing their license for a year more than a week in jail. **************************************************** Far to often loss of license (driving PRIVILEGES) does not stop a motorist from driving . We see it all too often in the police and court reports. "So-and-so was arrested for drinken or reckless driving, he/she was also cited for driving on a suspended or revoked license. Now there is no indication that this driver was a habitual offender. But for those that are, getting behind the wheel should be classified as "brandishing a deadly weapon" and the weapon should be forfeited. Joe
