Just my $.02. If any accident involving an automobile results in the death of another person, the person at fault should be charged with a felony. A felon can no longer vote or own a gun and probably some other things. I think the level of punishment should be determined by a judge. We see it all too often in the police and court reports. "So-and-so was arrested for drinken or reckless driving, he/she was also cited for driving on a suspended or revoked license. Now there is no indication that this driver was a habitual offender. But for those that are, getting behind the wheel should be classified as "brandishing a deadly weapon" and the weapon should be forfeited. > Joe > _______________________________________________ > Touring mailing list > [email protected] > Browse and search the archives: http://search.bikelist.org > Unsubscribe or list settings: > http://www.phred.org/mailman/options/touring > Harold Bielstein [email protected] Laissez Faire Capitalism: Its only a theory!
