Don't you think that we should all be responsible for our behavior regardless of the circumstances?? Accident or deliberate??Just because it was an "accidnet" doesn't mean she shouldn't have some responsibily in the situation. It happens every day. Accidents. People have something to pay. Money, community time, licence revoked, etc. If a child shoots someone with daddys gun the daddy is charged with something for letting jr. get to the gun. It was an accident though. My experience in seeing cyclists are Mexicans that can't afford a car so they ride all over.Thats how they get to work, go to the store etc. Some and too many folks look down on that and since some with bikes like me that have better then a Wal Mart bike and love to ride it just for fun are thrown into that same catagory. Poo
 r. If you look at the courts you will see that those with more money get better trials generally. I don't want to start a war here but money talks. Folks on the road on bikes are just in the
way of drivers so when one gets hit or killed it is not a big thing. Unfortunately. I once heard that a driver almost hit a rider on the shoulder at night and the rider "shouldn't" have been there. Like he had no right to ride there. Insane. Thats exactly where he should have been but according to this driver he had no right to be there. Good thing he didn't get hit.

Fran,

Be who you are and say what you feel........
Because those that matter dont mind.....
And those that mind don't matter. Anon

o "just" because she or family member worked hard to afford these things like
rivate school for her kids and and Union american made car- she's a
illian..That's just dumb!
Bicyclist create a atmosphere of hate as much as any one if not more.
I was a bicycle commuter since university out of need- then out of enjoyment
nly to have it Hijacked by such whack jobs groups as Critical Mass and the "I
ever take a bath or wash my cloths" groups( a hard uniform if there ever was)
Guess from your tone, she woke up that morning with this "all" planed out to
et the Peace loving cyclist-because no driver has ever seen a cyclist run a red
ight or cross in front of a car without signaling..

this is true what you said...
but the political climate seems to be favoring her ....
 and not the victim...
 never the victim...
we have to worry about the abuse the individual who created the
 situation....
how awfully her life has been...
she can barely afford her cadillac suv....
and getting all her teeth last week cap was such a financial strain on her
 family...
and the private school her child goes to...
and those issues her child has to go through...
 if mommy goes to jail....
 oh the shame....
that damn bicyclist having to be on the road ...
